Trump: “You see people holding this gorgeous sign with beautiful wood, beautiful cardboard, wood, everything, everything’s perfect, paint job, and they’re all the same. There are thousands of them, you know, that they weren’t made in the basement out of love. They were made by anarchists.”

It's why George Lucas had such a hard time faking the Moon Landing when he was filming on Pluto.

No. None of us that are honest with ourselves can remember a time American Conservatism wasn't a fig leaf to cover up baked crony capitalism, as that has been the default position of Conservatism once in power for... A Century? A little more?

Your video might actually be worth watching (assuming it contains no AI), but I'll never know, because I see AI, I block. Period.

And if more of us did this, maybe, just maybe, we'd stop seeing it.

Why do people use crappy AI thumbnails on YT videos when the topic of the video already provides a wide range of useful images?

If your video is of a computer game, movie, TV show -- just USE A FUCKING SCREENSHOT OF IT! Using AI just makes me say "Do not recommend this channel".
"Somebody get us two Snickers Bars, stat!"
Not gonna lie... I prolly would vote for him as Supreme Federation Commander.

"I don't like Trump, but you have to admit--"

Nope, we're good, you can stop right there--actually, back up about five words, pull over, and get out of the car you're about to drive over a rhetorical cliff.

Most "classics" are boring as fuck to a modern reader in no small part because the context of the story is not understood by them and so many of the allusions and "inside jokes" known to then-contemporary readers have been lost in time and in translation

Tell me your most unhinged literary opinion, as a little treat
That's not an excuse for the behavior of many, many MANY fans the past two decades in reference to discourse surrounding genre works mind you.
This also explains all the dust-ups on social media in regards to all these well worn corporate owned franchises and characters. For whatever reason, blunt cultural inertia, widespread penetration into the collective psyche, regardless, these things are now "canonized" and have accrued meaning.
Yup. Shakespeare is filled with what to his audience of the period, are references to various social and political events, views and then well known personalities that almost all fly over the head of people experiencing the works today because most of us myself included have zero context.
Okay... His administration of the Mars colony had some controversies and he was killed by a brainwashed construction worker, but other than that...
Jellico did nothing wrong.

This is extreme.
I’m an immigrant in Spain, and I never have my passport unless traveling. I have my NIE if I have my wallet with me. This is a silly, over-the-top enforcement.

Wow, wow, wow. This has always been legally possible but the law has virtually never been enforced — and now this is the SECOND case I've heard of in the last month (first involving a person with a green card) of a noncitizen being charged for failure to carry their papers.

NEWS: ICE gave a Rogers Park man a $130 ticket for not having his papers on him. They rounded him up last week and eventually let him go, but not without a fine that some critics say is un-American. Trump admin enforcing little-used law

If Joe Biden was unable to close an umbrella there would have been +/- 1,000 think pieces in the newspapers of America questioning whether he was capable of discharging the duties of the office of President of the United States.

THREAD. Did you know that at about 1/3 of all stranger homicides in the U.S. are perpetrated by police? But there's something hidden here that is important to understand in this authoritarian moment.
