what's the stupidest/randomest Simpsons quote that lives in your head rent free? Mine is the urge to say "you said go to bread" every time I am about to head to bed.

Do we have to get Glue back together to do another gig to get this one shut down?

Found some pics from the night we recorded our pilot sketch show "The Magic Glue" for BBC Radio Scotland at The Stand in Glasgow in 2009. First one is me with co-writer/creator the great @tombrogan.bsky.social. We look so young!

Didn't get picked up sadly, but a really memorable night.

Very sad to hear this. Paddy spoke to me at length for two of my books. He was great to chat with. Insightful, helpful, encouraging, entertaining, he had no need to speak to me but was happy to do so. A great writer, he’s a great loss to football journalism.

I’m looking forward to this. The Gaiety is a lovely place to perform with an amazing cafe. The plays are great fun too.

Researching my book on the Scotland national team, I discovered that the two players who shone as world-class and had their teammates and players coming up behind them in awe of their gifts were Jim Baxter and Denis Law. Law was undisputedly one of the greatest. RIP

This is an astonishing statement, a complete fantasy. Baseless Techbro PR babble. The arts is a huge industry in the UK, raking in billions despite a huge lack of central support. Our government now appear to want to crater this to facilitate thieves. Write to your MP.

This week in our big look at World Cup ‘82, it’s the turn of Scotland. A source of merriment to many but this is perhaps the most interesting of the failures. Good squad but a tough group. @tombrogan.bsky.social explains what happened and we try and rank Scotland’s catalogue of catastrophe
