Long ago now, we were running up against some slowness in our switch-management software when our customers had a lot of switches. We had built it with an eye towards a max of 100 switches or so, but then Saudi ARAMCO had...2000! 1/n

Another chaos theory I have for the internet is that much of it was built with the assumption that Moore’s Law would continue indefinitely, meaning a great deal of software isn’t written with efficiency in mind. I say this as I try and loads an MLB schedule and it just doesn’t bother to finish

Also: if you work for ICE, even if you’re not one of the ones arresting citizens or tackling 15-year-olds or zip-tying kids together and segregating them by race, you’re part of the mechanism making it happen, and you should suffer long-term social and post-regime-change consequences.

UPDATE: In emailed statement to me / @reason.com, DHS alleges that WGN-TV producer Debbie Brockman "threw objects at Border Patrol’s car and she was placed under arrest for assault on a federal law enforcement officer."
