And from countries that have it, we have a clear lesson - it curbs nothing. Self-install apps for your phone to fake even very sophisticated self-id systems are rampant, you could google "self id app, poland, apk" and find one.

It definitely does not stop illegal work, same as right to work didn't.

The Government is asking for support for a digital ID scheme - one of my concerns is how much it would cost to build and run a secure database this would require. Today I asked ministers about what the price tag for this scheme would be if it goes ahead.
