I'm looking forward to seeing this.

I'm so excited to talk about my biggest project to date, with themes that are important to my community. Every mechanic supports the narrative. All the principles are lessons learned. A game that begins and ends with safety and consent. Art by @neonjess.bsky.social

Take the journey with us.

Last Kiss by @brianliberge.bsky.social and published by Luck of the Harbor will be coming to BackerKit on November 10th!

It's a game about identity, authority, sexuality, and hopelessness.

And now for a quick random table to describe what your party finds when they explore a derelict. It could be a burned-out cottage by the road, or a powerless starship.

I spent all morning calling a recruiter to get details on an interview scheduled for noon today. Spoiler: I think it was moved, but I still have no confirmation.

So that's 3 hours of potential creative time this morning, sacrificed to anxiety and miscommunication.

This timeline sucks.

I wonder how much of that is artificial differentiation for attention.

I also wonder how much of that approach will backfire spectacularly. Because, yeah, dude, that's a GMless TTRPG. They've been around for as long as TTRPGs have, if you don't count the ancient pastime of storytelling as a group.

It used to be bodies for food. Now it's more bodies to expand the horde. And shiny baubles never hurt either.

Mariners tell of Reaper Isle, a floating island full of undead. It started as a village of cannibals built on the back of a lazy dragon turtle, but only a couple of ancient necromancers remain, still raiding ships across the sea with their undead horde.

Not "in the ocean" nor "living". But cool.

The Nelendi Monarchy lies off the coast of Fellport. The aquatic elves and tritons united the five city-states after the Great Reef Wars, and the residents of each city still maintain their unique character today.

The Coral Monarch makes sure air-breathers can safely visit, should they wish to.

"Pick me 'cuz I'm younger than that guy" seems like an awfully hollow first plank for a campaign to run on.

Also collecting is its own thing with its own drives and rewards.

Blogging, designing, and daydreaming mostly, and they sort of blend together in a creative schmear.

My shelf of TTRPG shame threatens to bury me daily, so I should probably working through those titles before I pick up something else that catches my eye.

I'm a sucker for "the business of RPGs" content.

As someone who has run projects on almost all crowdfunding platforms, I have been hypercritical of @gamefound.bsky.social

Which is why I am thrilled to have @cambr-found.bsky.social join me for the inaugural episode of our new show "Intrepid Merchants" to talk about their #RPGParty event at 8p

I think Starborn works well. Descriptive of what the game does, and evocative to boot.

Today's Low Quality Ad is for this Cat Pin. There's a reason why there are police dogs and not police cats. Cats wouldn't only let the criminals get away, they'd help bury the bodies too.

SPINE is a solo tabletop RPG that looks like a book. It is your anchor to the fictional world, a prop, and a work of art — a keepsake — that you co-create, all in one.

In SPINE, you quite literally embody a researcher who is reading and marking up the physical book in front of you.

For my Fellport game, you can identify the source nation of a bioluminescent light source by its color. It hasn't come up in game yet, but I'm ready with that killer bit of trivia when it does.
