hello to all the new followers! welcome to my thought zone. my name is Daria and I make music and love bread. i also love my puppy, here are some "band" photos my lovely partner took of me a couple years back that I really like, stay tuned for dumbass posts and music promo!

I think the best advice I'd give anyone (man or woman) is to take a friend or loved one with you to your critical appointments.

Having someone there to listen with different thoughts/perspectives (or remind you of certain symptoms or occurrences you might forget) is invaluable.

so many dolts hold this view of communism that the goal is just to strip the bourgeoisie of their wealth and luxuries, and they conveniently leave out the part where that wealth is redistributed. as if the labor/resources that create/extract value under capitalism just sort of evaporate.

Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing?

I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up.
Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?
