The therapy part feels like something most potential parents should go through, honestly.

In any case, the therapist finally sent a letter recommending us as parents for a child in need of adoption, and now we just need to wait for a judge to decide which child we're most suited for.

Exciting!
This country is also very serious about adoption. This means that in order to even be considered I've had to go through courses to learn all the specific challenges of adopting a child, and going to extensive therapy to learn how to better channel my experiences and not repeat traumas.
Bringing a new life into this hell world might not be good. But adopting an already-existing child so I can make their lives less hellish IS good, I think.
Also I might be a Dad in the next few months. It's up to the State.
Oh... I got my hands on some ADHD medication. Let's see how it works.

The PS2 truly is the best console ever because it is constantly becoming more powerful. Each time we say something "looks like a PS2 game" we're talking about a game of a higher fidelity than the last. What the PS2 is capable of in 2025 is so far beyond what it was capable of in 2003. That's amazing
It's also very telling and funny that they generally don't even try to lie about it. They are just *so* confident in their terrible takes that they pridefully admit they haven't played the game.

"But when the team looked at the employees’ actual work output, they found that the developers had completed tasks 20% slower when using AI than when working without it. Researchers were stunned. “No one expected that outcome. We didn’t even really consider a slowdown as a possibility.”

I don't mean to sound like an ass, but people aren't entitled to what a person draws; they're not required to only draw what you want, and again, you don't have to like all of it, but actively shitting on it is just being an ass for no reason.

you don't understand. as someone who isn't inherently good at art, stealing paintings from the museum is the *only* way i'm able to express myself creatively. i wouldn't be able to paint beautiful portraits. but by breaking into a museum and stealing the paintings, now i am
In fact, it seems geared specifically to the kind of hardcore MMO raider that I absolutely despise.
It's sales pitch is that of MMORPG (WoW) without the grinding and dungeons that are actually worth doing several times. It's a good pitch.

But from what I'm reading, it really seems to completely disregard the social aspect of things?
Reading up on this new game, Fellowship, and it feels that almost everything about it completely misunderstands what exactly *are* the inherent strengths and weaknesses of MMOs.

It’s so funny that the generation of people who told me CONSTANTLY in school that Wikipedia isn’t a reliable source are now among many of the same people who believe anything they read online and share AI generated slop. I’d trust Wikipedia more than anything to come from AI any day, it has SOURCES!
wikipedia's data shows that AI is siphoning traffic away from the site, which is a danger to its sustainability. ironically Wikipedia is more important than ever to users who want reliable information instead of slop, and to AI companies that need it for training data www.404media.co/wikipedia-sa...
Wikipedia Says AI Is Causing a Dangerous Decline in Human Visitors

People are nitpicking this statement, but I do think the bigger issue is that almost every single Mario game is a timeless classic, and the Mario movie is the textbook definition of disposable entertainment.
Listening to a chronological Umineko OST and the ending of Chapter 1 (including the epilogues) is still some of the best shit done in these types of games.
I see.

Well, once more, it can't possibly be worse than Bleach's "this all happens roughly during the school arc" explanation for about 4 different filler arcs.
Is this one of those "happens sometime in the past before the Big Ongoing Event but everyone has their current-time powerups" kind of filler arc?
