Her strength as a warrior is what earned her the name Osh-Tisch, which translates to “finds them and kills them."
Who is Osh-Tisch? Osh-Tisch was a Apsáalooke Badé, a role within the Crow Nation that defied traditional gender norms, embodying both masculine and feminine qualities. Before colonization, Badé were deeply respected for their unique spiritual gifts, artistry, and contributions to community life. As a Badé, Osh-Tisch carried responsibilities tied to culture, ceremony, and social balance. Their life shows how many of our nations embraced gender diversity long before Western colonial powers imposed rigid binaries.

There are many cameos from minor OFMD characters in the RBB folklore au that @hideplueshi.bsky.social and I created, but the Magic Man was one of the first we decided on. He's one of the Fae, and in our story he develops a slightly terrifying obsession with Stede Bonnet...
“Wait!” Stede Bonnet’s hand reaches out to grab at him, and the Magic Man steps nimbly back out of its reach, gazing at it in horrified fascination. “I’m sorry. I just – can I ask what you’re going to do? With Chauncey, I mean?” The Magic Man fixes Stede with a glimmering stare. “I will lead him on a merry chase through the unknown and unspoken paths of the hidden forest. He will follow me through time and age, into the lost caves of Salt Kip where he will pass the long years of his mortality ever wandering, never to be seen by human eyes again.” Stede Bonnet swallows. The Magic Man watches the pulse of it, the spasm of his throat. “Oh,” he says, weakly. “I see. Well, alright then.”

He aches deliciously, muscles loose and easy and <i>sore</i> like they've not been for a while, a sting on the top left side of his chest where he remembers, vividly, Mihawk penetrating him with the short, thick length of the Kogatana.
