And they used a very AMERICAN template to do so, the template the not only tried and murder my grandparents(and the ones before them) but my father who is of the Jim Crow South
If some group had tried to murder YOUR grandparents, would you be cool with someone having a tattoo of their logo? Would you accept that it was a "youthful mistake" or that they just didn't understand it? Would you let it slide bc you don't want to "alienate" people who don't think it's a big deal?

It’s almost like those two groups have some sort of personal history or something huh ?!?!
Now would be a good time to remind everyone that Black and Jewish Americans voted overwhelmingly for Kamala Harris, and perhaps now those are the 2 groups who should be speaking right now.

Do you understand? They marched into the town where MY GRANDPARENTS lived and started rounding up all the Jews who lived there, to MURDER them.

This wasn't ancient history, it wasn't even 100 years ago. They came after MY GRANDPARENTS.

Committed one of the biggest atrocities in human history!
There's a lot of abstract talk about nazis right now and I just want to bring it back to concrete reality for a second:

Those motherfuckers tried to murder MY GRANDPARENTS.

7) Tim Walz was absolutely the right choice for her running mate. You can feel her second-guessing herself in the book, but that's just her being human. Tim is a good man with a great heart and would've been a great VP. And, even now, the country will benefit from him getting a national platform.

9) Hillary Clinton is a wonderful person.
I have two versions of this book, but I don’t know that I’ll ever be able to bring myself to read it. I teared up just reading this thread.

Thank you & Amen to #2!
I finally finished 107 Days. My initial thoughts 🧵:
1) Kamala Harris does a great job being reflective and calling out her own mistakes.
2) The loss was not Kamala Harris' fault. At all. Not even a little. Full stop.

Whew!
Graduate seminar did a deep dive on Thomas Paine’s Common Sense yesterday. At the line, “in America the law is king,” they (14 students from 6 countries) burst out laughing. I've been doing this for 35 years and this is the first time that was a laugh line.

We are being erased in real time, our history, the laws created to protect our status as citizens. Emboldened white supremacists disparage us openly & on TV.
The President calls us low IQ.Our Dad & Moms are being kidnapped by ICE in front of their children.
We will not ignore a Nazi tattoo. No.

“Apple, Google, and Meta were under no obligation to remove these apps,” says @alexabdo.bsky.social. “If they did it because the DOJ threatened them, even implicitly, that’s a First Amendment violation. The government shouldn’t be able to behave like a mob boss in going after protected speech.”
The federal government "jawbones" private companies by pressuring them to silence voices they can’t legally censor themselves, and Big Tech has erased ICE‑watching apps and an ICE-Sighting Chicago Facebook group.

It took me going overseas to realize that these people really think that they can come here and be white.
Its really insane witness, especially now. But they all get that wakeup call...

Twenty years ago Nazi tattoos were bad…

15 years ago … Nazi tattoos still bad

Yesterday… Nazi tattoos still bad

Today … nazi tattoos still bad

There is no period of time where Nazi tattoos are good

Y’all are fawning over a man that has a Nazi tattoo, worked for Blackwater, believes that Black people don’t tip well, and blames women in the military for being sexually assaulted.

But he said “Medicate for All,” “ban billionaires,” and “Gaza genocide” and folks are lapping it up.

Smh.

Same people screaming, “YOU TOOK APAC DONATIONS” are turning into Captain Save A Hoe for a former Blackwater employee.

Never. They always let that slide.
I just think it's funny how the purity tests don't cover racism.
The Republicans know that they can trick the Left with a candidate spouting a couple of key words.

And the Left keeps falling for it. Election after election.

Grow some damn brain grooves.

I honestly think that’s why they are such a mess. They haven’t had to struggle with anything and their boredom with the world has made them oppositional. They think being an asshole makes them interesting.

Could you imagine them living a day with actual expectations? Without the path being cleared for them? They wouldn’t know “impossible standards” if they slapped them upside the head.

They couldn’t vote for Kamala “the cop”, but will happily support the Blackwater mercenary with the Nazi tattoo.

It's this photo if you missed it, savaging the East Wing to make a vanity ballroom.

The Democrats need to get a hell of a lot of cameras on the White House and plaster the photos everywhere. It's not just the brazen symbol of a megalomaniac destroying national heritage; it's happening during a government shutdown when ordinary people aren't getting paid. Make every American see it.
