There's over 600 people that have done that, and if you look at the distribution, about half are from the United States, but a third are from Canada, and the others are from the rest of the world."

Wouters says the recruiting team is making four to five offers every week. The program, he says, is also helping to retain home-grown talent.

"Many Canadian scientists leave early in their careers for the U.S because that's where the funding is... and with programs like this, we can keep them here," he said.

When I was a kid in the sixties we didn't have OCD, ADD, ADHD, dyslexia or any learning disability
What we had were a lot of children growing up to be illiterate adults
This will happen again
With 40 kids in a class how can teachers even identify the kids who have problems
