I finally deleted Twitter for good. I’m done with the things that stress me out that I still have control over, and deleting Twitter was one of them.
Today my husband returns from his trip, and my youngest daughter comes home on Thanksgiving break from college. I can't wait to see them both. I don't sleep well when alone, even though I have Troy to watch over me, so I am also looking forward to a good night's sleep tonight.

Monarch clusters at Natural Bridges State Park.
Butterflies are active when temperatures are above 60°F. They cannot fly in temperatures below 55°F, and can't even move when it is below 45°F.
Wonderful experience watching them. When the sun hits the spot they’re on, they disperse everywhere 😊

I wish we lived in a land where if journalists heard the president call one of their colleges "piggy" or suggest another of their colleagues, who was butchered for what he wrote, in some way had it coming, they would close their laptops, leave as soon as possible, and ask to be reassigned.

I cherish being alone. Truly! I say no when I don't want to do something. I say yes if my instincts are strong. Nature soothes me. I am simple in how I choose to live my life. I don't apologize for that. I have met plenty of judgment, but I am, unapologetically, me. End of post.

I made strawberry rhubarb jam today, and even got to put aside a pound of chopped rhubarb in the freezer for my Thanksgiving crumble. Thankful for a neighbor who shared their abundant bounty of rhubarbs with me 💗

Love my local Buy Nothing Group. Just picked up a bunch of lovely rhubarbs someone had too many of in her garden, and was offering to members in the group. Now I’ll make rhubarb crumble for Thanksgiving, and probably will have enough to make some strawberry rhubarb jam too 😊

23 years ago, I lost my dad much too soon. I miss him and our amazing conversations, and I think he would have had a lot to say about what’s going on in today’s world. Gone but never forgotten!!!
