The real journalism here will be the person who figures out how much OpenAI paid for this ad of something that definitely isn't happening outside a very small group.
“Prompt parties,” gatherings of women over cheese and wine to chat about how ChatGPT can help them, are emerging as the next-generation of Tupperware party in San Francisco.

Been playing through the Pokémon TCG GBC game from back in the day (great game to play one handed while holding a tiny human) via RetroArch and I had forgotten how much the music absolutely slaps. Seriously, stuck in my head most of the day good.
Read the whole thing and understand that while the ACA has issues, it is light-years ahead of where we were. The American Healthcare system is and remains broken, but not as broken as it was.
Are we doing "The ACA Sucks" Discourse again?

I'm going to guess most people hating on it from the left have never received a hospital bill the size of book; I put the apple there for scale.

That's the $1.3 million bill my kid incurred in his first ~94 days. Why does that make me respect the ACA?

So many people forget that any given game in a series is not only going to be somebody's first experience with the series, but possibly the genre or even videogames as a whole.

And there are few things more crushing to a total newcomer than a game that skips tutorials and just expects you to KNOW.
Wondering if we are seeing some "probing" of our trusted networks happening given *fails arms*. AT&T DNS over a wide area has been severely disrupted past few days and they have been tight lipped about it. Had to switch my DNS manually to Google to get my internet to function.

We are hundreds of miles on the interstate past Nixon's crimes that look like harmless school pranks by comparison. Presidency-ending for anyone else since WWII. At a minimum, an immediate SecState resignation. But we've decided nothing matters for this One Special Boy & his authoritarian playmates.
Probably late to this story, but holy hell!

This is an administration ending story.

For the Secy-o-State to promise something like this is damning.

“He [Rubio] assured Bukele that Bondi would complete that process & Washington would hand over the [informants who are under US protection]
Rubio promised to betray U.S. informants to get Trump’s El Salvador prison deal
To secure U.S. access to President Nayib Bukele’s notorious CECOT prison, Rubio agreed to turn over several MS-13 leaders central to a long-running Justice Department investigation.

Yesterday's No Kings protests were apparently the largest since the first Earth Day in 1970

The NYT covered that story with a six column headline across the top of the paper and two full pages inside

Today, two small pics below the fold and a story on page A23

They constantly let America down

The whole thing as a vanity exercise to demonstrate a show of force before the No Kings events.

DOD had said that firing bombs over a highway was safe; state officials disagreed and shut down the highway, used by about 80K people daily. Turns out the state officials were right.

Senator Ed Markey (D-MA) at the Boston No Kings rally today, wore the trans pride flag like a scarf draped over his shoulders and included in his speech. "Because here in Massachusetts, we stand for what is right. We stand with trans people because trans rights are human rights."

CHOTINER: So you're attending a No Kings protest today.

ME: That's right.

CHOTINER: But according to Steam, you've played over 450 hours of Crusader Kings 3.

ME: Okay, well- Now hold on. That's sort of unfair.

CHOTINER: Oh?

ME: Sometimes I play as a duke or a count.

CHOTINER: I see.
Another day, another bit of Stroll stupidity. Nepotism in action.
The F1TV folks are calling it a "racing incident", which I agree, but also that was grade A stupid at that first corner from Piastri. And I say that as a big Piastri fan. Literally roll back half the Austin starts to see why that move will never work on lap 1 and end in the same way.
