the end is always to define what is acceptable in a society. it's not really a "both sides are doing it" thing, because that is the reason for the existence of the sides. without the it there would be nothing for the sides to do. it is, ultimately, a moral question, there's no getting around it

It’s been flirted with and edged toward but as far as I know there is no proposal on the table to fully do away with it. I think it was maybe going to be in “zoning for housing 2: electric boogaloo” but that got knocked off track by the arena and unclear if it’s still going to happen
