It makes me wonder if any of the people posting have actually any idea what their Democratic Party locally is doing! Are you involved? Do you go to meetings? Do you sign up for their mailing list at least? Or do you just spout that they’re doing nothing because you have FEE FEES?
Speaking from the third largest, and purple with red splotches, county in my state, this is precisely what we are doing. It doesn’t make the news, folks. Check with your local Democrats. If they aren’t doing this, show up at meetings, and tell them to. Your voice is the one that matters.

As I said before, land use & tax policies determine how much revenue is allocated & where it's dispersed. If a large portion of your state is rural &/or suburban, then you'll either raise taxes like NY/CA or cut spending on public services like NV/FL.
