We watched ‘Mix Tape’ last night. A series set in 80s Sheffield and modern day Sheffield and Sydney. It’s about love, loss and music. Bit sad at times but loved it. All of us of a certain age I’m sure have made a mix tape for a girl/boy. A lot of reminiscing.

Kid A has pulled out of rugby training today because she has so much school work to do. Kinda glad tbh, I’m far too hung over to spend 90 mins stood in a cold field. A day in my jammies, remembering that I am no longer in my early twenties.

I was chatting to a bloke I play rugby with last week, he was very excited and optimistic about the Ashes. After 5 minutes with me, he said he felt depressed. Scorecard check upon waking up suggests I’m realistic rather than pessimistic.
