I intend to use this new, less-sullied place to:

1) Make gently humourous observations about everyday life;
2) Post charming pictures;
3) Crush my enemies utterly beneath my heel.
Agreed. Ranking stuff is my second least favourite activity.

Last ask, I swear. Local film makers shooting a story written by my excellent, clever and funny school writers group. Ignore the figures here. We're £350 short with three days to go. If you've bunged us some money THANK YOU. If you'd like to, THANK YOU. ❤️

Hugely enjoyed Wickeds 1 & 2 but MY GOD - for one of the most beloved musicals ever, the story is incredibly bleak. Essentially a satire, whose messages are: the masses are irredeemably stupid, acceptance of The Other is impossible and the triumph of Good over Evil can only be weak and compromised.

one of the things that makes me most mad about genAI (and there are many) is we've been told there's not enough money for hiring. but there's billions poured into ai.

so not enough money to hire workers. but infinite money to pour into technology whose goal is never having to pay workers again.

Two more losses in a row and we’ll hear the faint sound of the New Coach Now drums beginning to beat, I’d say.

Listen, we don’t go out there to win, we go out there to entertain. And we did entertain an enormous number of Aussies. Bazball Mission Accomplished!

Maybe cricket journos should start asking Stokes what negatives he’s going to take from these performances.

Absolutely thrilled by how successful Bazball has become. We should totally continue with this. Just wonderful stuff. The ability to adapt and learn lessons is second to none. Greatest thing to happen to English cricket of all time. Long may it continue.

In a time of great upheaval, when all our old certainties are crumbling, it’s of enormous comfort to be able to rely on the fact that England will learn absolutely nothing from their appalling batting performance. #MAshes

VERY funny that Labour are being pointlessly cruel and haemorrhaging support from their base and yet none of what they're offering is ever going to be enough for the people whose approval they're seeking, WHO could have predicted it

🚨 NEW: The UK saw the largest increase in relative child income poverty of 37 high-income countries between 2013 and 2023, an increase of 34%, new research from UNICEF UK shows.

If the two-child limit stays in place, child poverty will continue to rise. Is this really a record we want?

The BBC is the biggest thump of soft power the UK has and its reach and influence to the benefit of the country is extraordinary. Destroy it, hugely damage the UK. The same people who helped weaken us over Brexit are seeking to do it again.
Interesting to see so many great British patriots right now begging an American president to bankrupt one of Britain’s last remaining truly national institutions.
