If #Trump really wanted to stop #Ukraine war on day one, he should've just told #Putin to remove #Russian military from Ukraine and stop attacking.

He had the might of US military and NATO, and didn't even rattle a sword.

Instead he chose to be Putin's puppet from "Day One."

Wonder why?

Whatever else this government do (and there's plenty of issues with this budget) ministers will always be able to point to this as an incredible important contribution to the country's future. Almost half a million kids taken out of poverty.
Scrapping the two-child limit in full is a monumental decision. Well done to all involved in the Child Poverty Strategy, and everyone who has made the case against the policy.

OBR says scrapping costs £3 billion in 2029-30 and will lift 450,000 out of poverty

Putin aide Yuri Ushakov called the leaked chat with U.S. envoy Witkoff “very unusual,” blaming WhatsApp and hinting someone wanted it exposed. He claimed neither side wanted the leak, but compared it to the Flynn case, suggesting Witkoff might have enemies in D.C.

Yeah right.

🤬 Bloomberg reports that Witkoff coached Putin’s aide on how to talk to Trump about a “peace deal.”

According to Bloomberg, this became known from a leaked recording of a phone call between Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff and Putin’s foreign policy aide Yuri Ushakov.

A MAN WITH 411 SEATS IS FIXATED BY A MAN WITH 5. IT DOESN’T GET MUCH DAFTER THAN THAT!

Farage’s Achilles heel is Brexit. Starmer could be wiping the floor with Farage, but he’s not because he decided to back Johnson’s hard Brexit.

Indeed. What he and his ilk “want” is to hoodwink the disenfranchised segments of society and gain control/ Power. All in cahoots with nefarious forces that seek to trod upon the very people that “support” them 🤷‍♀️ Cue MAGA / Pootin / Oligarchs …

You have to ask, why was Witkoff chosen for this critically important role of special envoy to Putin? He had no diplomatic or foreign policy experience. No education on those subjects. So of all people, why him? I think what we all surmised is clear - Putin wanted Witkoff.

BBC removes description of Donald Trump as "the most openly corrupt president in American history" from the broadcast today of Rutger Bregman's Reith Lecture. I was among the several hundred people to hear the original at the lecture theatre
I wish I didn’t have to share this. But the BBC has decided to censor my first Reith Lecture.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1

Given that the BBC endlessly gives platforms to lobbyists from the dark money junktanks without revealing their interests, shouldn't we be seeing such apologies every day?

Better still, how about not doing it? If they want to appear, we should know on whose behalf they are speaking.
