Reminder that it's Russia that refuses any move towards peace.
💯Absolutely. But someone was just telling me maybe it's time to stop helping Ukraine because they haven't been successful and therefore perhaps they should accept that this is their territory now to save lives and have peace. As if Ru is offering this option rather than rejecting it every single day

The Economist says Europe will have to give Ukraine nearly double what it's already supplied to keep Kyiv afloat long enough for Putin to realize "that he cannot win a long war." That's $389 billion between 2026 and 2029. The magazine takes a reparations loan as a given. Then? Eurobonds, baby!
What will it cost to make Vladimir Putin stop?
Europe must offer Ukraine a big enough financial package to deter the Kremlin

Love this story about the new analysis of an important Nanotyrannus fossil and resulting conclusions. Why am I never surprised when a long debate in paleontology is ultimately settled by just letting researchers study a fossil that has been hidden from them?

Russian fascism is engaged in an existential civilisational battle against liberal democracy, with the Ukrainian working class acting as the first line of defence for Europe.

Material support for the Ukrainian armed forces is class solidarity. Arming Kyiv is anti-fascist praxis.
Of course, 'hit' doesn't necessarily mean 'permqnently put out of action'.
Ukraine’s drone campaign has hit 21 of Russia’s 38 major refineries, crippling nearly 40% of its oil refining capacity and plunging Moscow into its worst fuel crisis in decades.

"Ukraine's theory of victory"

If Ukraine can't win on the battlefield can they - and their allies - undermine Russia's economy enough to force Putin's hand?

Can't see how they could possibly afford this alongside Gripen, plus their existing fleet of ex Soviet aircraft plus Mirages and F-16s.
