“There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, ... winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that ‘my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.’”

– Newsweek, “A Cult of Ignorance,” Isaac Asimov, January 21, 1980

I think you'll see an over-representation of the winter run this year, as you did with the Cap run last year.

That trend becomes more obvious when you drill into later rounds. Here's the non-normalized Final Four:

Oh, geez. We're already doing this #JOTY #goosery?

Here's the raw and normalized numbers of contenders by month-played by year.

The second normalized chart divides by number of shows played each month x year — since June has more shows than, say, March.

Angeleno and Dodger fan, long skeptical of Kershaw. That was brutal. He’s done.

Absolutely! One of my favorite versions.

Interesting. For me, there’s a renewed sense of energy and set-building storytelling beginning around 23. I’m much more a jazz and blues guy than dance (or whatever it is), but I love the recent “take no prisoners”/“no quarter” ethos.

Either way, as another man seasoned in cloud-yelling: 🫡

I never stopped listening to those really rich early years! But, as I started my career and parenthood, I traveled less and took in more local music (especially at jazz clubs). I also fell deep down the rabbit hole of 70s Dead.

Always been polyjamorous. #B4L doesn't mean "ONLY LISTEN TO BISCO!?!"

Engagement bait or earnest?

As someone who devoured 99-03 before life and other music detoured me, I honestly had a lot of trouble occasionally dipping into about 06–18. Felt very meh.

That started tipping the other way in 19, and they’re on an absolute tear now.

Renaissance Bisco is straight 🔥.

Now playing.

These animated album covers are rad.

New pointing Spider-Man meme just dropped.
A juxtaposition of two screenshots from Fox News shows host Jesse Watters interviewing a masked guest who appears to be the same person in both images. In the top image, the guest is labeled “Former Antifa Member Speaks Out” and wears a green cap and black patterned face covering. In the lower image, the same man, now identified as “Ramon ‘Mundo’ Mendoza, Mexican Mafia Encyclopedia Author,” wears a black cap and balaclava. The caption beneath the second screenshot reads: “Ex-gang member says Chauvin attacker’s story doesn’t add up — AlphaNews.org.”
