as someone who works in stuff like this, i wish i was more able to recommend to my clients to use parental controls or to learn how to ADB / disable things on their children's devices, bc their mental health is so much more important than having a tech babysitter.

i'm already seeing changes in his behavior and mindset towards the world.

i sat down with my family about not allowing him to watch youtube. i warned them when he was a baby to not let him watch it, and bc they didn't listen, he learned things that are inappropriate for his age. when they saw it -

for those that are curious, i didn't just disable them. i used ADB (android debug bridge) to forcefully uninstall them.

there's multiple tutorials out there, and imo (NOT A DOCTOR!) it's so worth it for a child's developmental wellbeing, bc it's only been a month or so since doing that and -

A small victory! Chat Control has been tabled for now, but it can [and likely will] be brought up for vote again in December

In the meantime, EU citizens will need to continue pressuring their respective govts to oppose chat control

Miyazaki survived the bombing of Utsunomiya as a child. His family escaped in a car, but left a neighbor and her daughter behind to save themselves. Miyazaki regrets this, and said this has stayed with him and shaped his film making. He hopes his audience will learn the courage he lacked in 1945.
