UPMC has decided to stop serving 400 Pittsburgh-area families with trans kids. Families turning to expensive alternatives, including private care and traveling further for care. Can you join me and donate to help alleviate some of the financial burden for these families?

"I made two really, really good decisions in my life," New Yorker editor David Remnick tells Semafor's Mixed Signals podcast.

"I married the right person ... and I didn't go on Twitter."

Remember folks: if you have any small amount of artistic talent, any sex appeal, or can make your friends laugh, the richest man on earth is crying screaming throwing up because he can’t be you.

Watched the New Yorker documentary. David Remnick seems like such a decent man which makes the Ryan Lizza recap of "I had some unpleasantness at the New Yorker, I always appreciated Olivia yelling at David Remnick for me" even more ludicrous. May he sleep well.

For some reason Democratic leaders seem to prefer telling voters what they won’t be able to do, rather than what they’d like to do.

If Hegseth ordered a war crime and lied about it, shouldn’t Ds try for impeachment? Put Rs on the spot. They might get a few defections.

Jeffries says not to expect Democrats to pursue Hegseth impeachment over boat strikes
"Republicans will never allow articles of impeachment to be brought to the floor," he said.

This is incredibly depressing and frustrating. Screwing over creators and home cooks to push AI garbage, for what benefit? We'll have to go back to cookbooks while the internet chokes itself to death
NEW: AI “recipe slop” is overrunning search and social. Food creators say Google’s AI Overviews and glossy fake food pics are drowning out real, tested recipes — collapsing traffic and setting home cooks up for disaster, especially this Thanksgiving.

This is a crazy thing to say out loud but my friend's house burned down last night in Oakmont. They lost everything. If you can spare some money they'd appreciate it.

the funniest thing about all of this is that jd vance grovels like a worm to get even a quarter of this kind of public support from trump and he barely manages that
Q: Stefanik has called Mamdani a 'jihadist.' Do you think you're standing next to a jihadist right now?

TRUMP: No, I don't. I met with a man who's a very rational person

A fascinating aspect of this is how much the anti-trans panic is about displacing fears that are far more real: of male coaches who abuse female athletes.

In 2024, Tierra Walker was sick and getting sicker. She was also pregnant.

She knew abortion was illegal in Texas, but thought there was an exception for women like her, whose health was at risk. Doctors told her there was no emergency.

Then she died.
