October horror movie 10/31 is Memories. Such a fantastic experience, each of these segments is delightful in their own way. More existentially horrifying than viscerally scary? Yes, absolutely. I'd still recommend this anthology to anyone remotely curious.

There's a family of very cute brown rats that live in the alley outside my flat (they're all called Curtis), and every night, six or so people spot them and scream. We're near multiple pubs, so people come here to pee and get jump scared by the Curtis family. It's their home, show some respect. 🐀

October horror movie 10/31 is Late Night With The Devil. I've mixed feelings about this one. It's so creative, engaging, genuinely original, and I love David Dastmalchian, but those few frames of AI slop, God they stick out like sore thumbs. I know they've since regretted their use, but still, oof.

I had Bubsy 2 on the Game Boy as a kid, and I remember running around in that game for hours, thinking I was stupid for missing something and not being able to progress. Turns out that's all there was to the game, and I was searching for fun in an empty void.

October horror movie 9/31 is Three...Extremes. I love anthology horror, Dumplings was entrancing, but I was losing interest during Box. Not to say they're not all good, just I have a distinct favourite. Did not realise it's a sequel. I will watch Three soon.

October horror movie 8/31 is 1408.
I had a lot of fun with this, more fun when it was less leaning into the spectacle and a touch more grounded, but I still enjoyed it as a whole. Didn't know it was a Stephen King piece going in. I didn't know it was a pseudo bottle movie either, a nice suprise.

October horror movie 7/31 is The Host/Goemul. Oh my goodness, this was a treat. I watched this yonks ago and I'm so glad I forgot most of it because seeing it again with a mostly blank slate was the best experience I've had so far this horror movie-athon. Highly, HIGHLY recommended.

October horror movie 6/31 is Waxwork. David Warner and John Rys-Davis!? What could go wrong? A lot as it turns out. I sought this out because of a clip on YouTube Shorts, and if you feel the need to do the same, just skip to the last twenty minutes. That's literally where all the fun is.
