"I mean, it's clearly designed to manipulate, but--" Her breath caught. "You *spoke.*" Mike's new voice was vaguely masculine with a strong synthetic edge. "Well, you know, I've been working on myself." It fit him perfectly. She could already feel her high school memories rewriting themselves to include his speaking voice. "New paint?" she asked, stupidly self-conscious. She was fifteen years older and heavier than the Kelly he'd known, and she had no way to tell whether he'd done the up-and-down appraisal of an old lover noticing *changes.*

I'm actually not a fan of this. While theft is a serious issue, holding internet service providers accountable for the actions of subscribers will only encourage even more surveillance and censorship and threaten the free internet which is essential to a healthy democracy.
