One thing that I don't think we appreciate is that cars don't smell of exhaust anymore. In my lifetime we've gone from belching smoke - and it been acceptable - to barely noticing it at all. It's kind of wild to see a classic Porsche drive by and tell my kid that the world used to smell like that
