If Schumer is voting no, then who put this deal together?
That page needs to shout.
They are probably going to have to read it pretty loud.

Call them. Tell them not to surrender.
And if that doesn’t work, try 202-224-3121

Trump wants to end the ACA. He said Republicans should send ACA payments meant for insurers directly to Americans.

The math isn’t mathing. My premium’s up way more than the tax credit, and everyone’s costs are different. How would they manage that when they can’t manage basic governance?

They're treating Trump illegally firing federal employees like it's leverage, not a criminal act.

Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

This is a lie. All 31 Moms for Liberty candidates in contested races lost their 2025 elections. The only "wins" were in uncontested races. Apparently, being hypocritical, book-banning scolds isn't so popular.

FSA’s are employee sponsored healthcare reimbursement plans & most companies do not offer them to their employees. It is not a legit trade for dropping ACA subsidies.

if this is different from the House Bill, the House will have to vote on it.

which means the House has to come back in session.

which means Adelita Grijalva is sworn in & becomes the 218th signature to release the Epstein Files.

it also means there's no done deal.

House & Senate have to agree.
From Punchbowl (and stop with the conspiracies, this is happening, just a question of who the votes are):

News from a source familiar: “A deal led by the three former Governors (King, Shaheen, Hassan) has been reached and there are more than enough Dem Caucus members in favor of a negotiated deal…”

If I were @schumer.senate.gov, I would not agree to help Republicans fund this regime on the "promise" of an ACA vote at a later date. It didn't work the last time when they promised to fund DC. It won't work this time either. The House won't touch it.

A promised vote on the ACA? See, they can’t include the ACA without having to bring the House back into session - and they’d have to swear in Grijalva. That’s what this is all about. Protecting the Epstein files.
Paywalled...here's the full text such as it is for now.

We'll see if Axios is full of shit again or not.

What happens when rogue groups and/or criminals start impersonating ICE agents to kidnap people in broad daylight?? All U gotta do is dress semi-official looking as a group and wear masks. Its wild.

I’ve come to believe that we need to gather considerable forces and a campaign to demand the removal of face masks by ICE, Border Patrol, FBI and police.

It is a practice in conflict with the principles of transparency & accountability that are central to the concept of democracy.
Video on social media shows an immigration agent pulling a gun in Little Village and holding it to the side — which is not an appropriate or safe way to hold a gun. (Among other issues.)

Gutting the EPA was always a goal of Project 2025-and expressly stated by Lee Zeldin well before the shutdown

Threatening people’s jobs, travelers’ holiday plans, families’ food: this White House treats the public as hostages to ransom off, rather than the sovereign people it exists to serve.
Remind us again why the Democrats are to blame?

“The Trump administration told states on Saturday to ‘immediately undo’ any actions to provide full food stamp benefits to low-income families, threatening financial penalties if they do not comply.”

If you think you’re “saving God,” you’re essentially declaring yourself equal with God.

No follower of God does that.

This family exploits faith for personal gain.

And how shameful it is that the church can’t see that.

God doesn't need saving, you ass!

Read this important treatise.

"I am reminded, however, of what Senator Robert F. Kennedy said in 1966 about ending apartheid in South Africa: “Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope.”"

When deception’s more profitable than honesty, users lose.

Internal documents suggest that Meta earns $3.5B(!) every 6 mo. from scam ads, revealing a deeper systemic problem: the economic incentive to tolerate “higher legal risk” content still outweighs any penalty. www.reuters.com/investigatio...

Meta projected 10% of its 2024 revenue would come from ads for scams and banned goods, and it internally estimates that its platforms show users 15 billion scam ads a day, company documents show.
