It's just a background for the game (with another version for shell menus), but it came out just the way I wanted, and that makes me happy.

Okay, I'm having a lot of fun with this one now that I've added a couple more mechanics and started to iron out the kinks. Makes me wonder how much better it would be with better visuals and some juice.

Decided to take another crack at this idea today, and it's turning out a lot better than last night's attempt.

I've spent the entire day rebuilding this game in Godot 4.5 and I'm over it. I haven't even gotten this new version working because I changed crap during the transcription. Ugh!

I'd rather just make something new now.

I was watching a video from GodotFest about making cards in the game Fogpiercer, and I'm kind of shocked that it's taking me this long to realize that I can pass names of callables in resources.

And there's something card-related that I've been wanting to do for a while now...

Okay, one thing I do like about using VS Code with Godot is that it actually treats regions like links in the code map thingie. So I can actually click to where I want to go instead of squinting and guessing. Yay!

I like grids a lot. Very organized. Very pleasing. Nice to put things in.

Which is why I find it extremely irritating that the thing that I'm trying to do with this particular grid requires so much goddamned math. Ugh!!

Finally giving VS Code a shot, and after a bit of rearranging... I think I'm sold.

Finally fixed this last big bugs in the game and made it all the way to the end -- where you can save a screenshot of your completed grid if you win.

Gonna do a bit more testing, then make some banners and stuff.

I really wish that I could open a second Script tab in Godot and put them next to each other.

Or even being able to put the Script tab next to the game or 2D tab would be good.
