🗣️ You have the constitutional right to protest ICE activity.

An important thread from our Justice Project Director Erin Cloud ⤵️
Stephen Miller’s statement isn’t about justice—it’s a dangerous throwback to unchecked power.

ICE agents do not have blanket “federal immunity.” No power supersedes the Constitution. Like any policing agency, ICE must be held accountable. #thread

You have the First Amendment right to record ICE.

History has taught us what happens when law enforcement operates in the dark. Whether it’s ICE raids, police violence, or attacks on protesters, we must defend our right to observe, document, and resist state violence. Visibility saves lives.
They say they’re monitoring ICE arrests. Feds say they’re breaking the law.
The fatal shooting of Renée Good last week, as ICE officers and residents faced off on a Minneapolis street here, has brought new attention to ICE monitoring.

Yesterday, Border Patrol agents terrorized a Minneapolis high school and used chemical weapons against students, parents, and bystanders while brutalizing staff.

Let us be clear—federal law enforcement are enacting racist, state-sanctioned violence and have no place in or around our schools.

It's been 2 weeks since ICE agents forcefully separated Yuanxin from his father Fei, and there are still no answers on the boy's location or if the family will be reunited. Their community gathered at Yuanxin's school to denounce ICE's horrific tactics and call for the family's immediate release. 🧵⬇️

When federal forces started targeting Black neighborhoods as part of the ongoing occupation of DC, community showed up by making sure young people knew their rights and asserted them loudly.

We will keep organizing, building power, and demanding a world where our people are safe—beyond policing.

The blatant power grab by the majority white legislature in a Black city like Jackson, MS is spreading across the country.

State takeovers and sweeping abusive preemption laws are rolling back progress and stripping communities of the right to self-govern and ultimately, self-determination.

Georgia has turned back the clock on democracy by making it easier to remove eligible voters from the rolls and needlessly punishing unhoused voters with additional voting restrictions.

SB 189 is a textbook violation of the National Voter Registration Act. We'll see Georgia in court.
⚖️TODAY’S DOCKET⚖️

A federal court will hear a pro-voting lawsuit challenging a Georgia law. The plaintiffs warn it could give private citizens the power to target the eligibility of other voters using unvetted and unreliable documentation.
