I will admit to being a bit nervous. The administrator had warned me that it would be "quite #pungent"... but it was a reward for good behavior, how bad could it be? Deliberately not thinking about past rewards, my shaking hands twisted the cap off the bottle, and I immediately blacked out.

Finally, the data was laid out in front of me, and patterns swam in front of my eyes. The longer I looked the more I felt I could sense something #malignant behind the pattern of "random" disappearances. Firstly, each happened next to an HVAC vent. Secondly, they seem to be coming closer.

He was first in every morning and last out every night. Monday he'd email everyone his weekly quiz and Friday he'd be first on the karaoke. He made work fun and his #jovial outlook was infectious.
It was only HR that realised he never took time off. Only the B&B that knew he never went home

A field of flowers, scents flowing. It almost feels like I'm back on the surface, outside. Close my eyes and imagine a wind not associated with a clanking semi-sentient HVAC system with more attitude than my maternal grandmother.

As if summoned, I feel a cold breeze like a premonition.

I dipped my brush once more into the dirty pot of ink. It's barely ink to be honest, more like a thick crusty paint. Blackened and malformed, the blood in it hasn't mixed well. My heart races as I paint the final lines of the pattern across my arm. This time I know it will work.
