If you make the billionaires choose between Dems and Republicans, they will choose Republicans almost every time. That platform ultimately serves their interests. So if the Democratic party wants to retain relevancy, they need to stop courting the right.

Obama got elected because he talked a progressive game, that excited people and they wanted the types of changes he was trying to make happen, but then almost nothing was able to get done. So the party pulled.. back to the right in reaction?! No, that's not the lesson here.

Yeah, the whole term of “Cancel Culture” is so misleading. It’s just capitalism. Either you are in demand, or you’re not. And employment is “at will” always. Public opinion affects who is found entertaining or not. This whole “culture reframing” of it as something nefarious is too much.
