This feels so damn accurate.

The Budapest Memorandum has meant little to nothing.

I feel strongly that if the UN or NATO doesn’t provide effective support to eject Russia from Ukraine territory, we’ll regret it.

Is it just me, or is anyone else experiencing video playback sometimes getting stuck so that you have to terminate the app?

Labour ditches day-one protection from unfair dismissal in U-turn
The right will now be introduced after six months, in a breach of Labour's election manifesto.

The unfair dismissal issue is remarkably straightforward.

All across the EU, it’s possible to dismiss an employee for sound reasons and by following a fair process.

I am at a loss as to why the same standard here would “stunt growth”. Egregious capitulation is what this is.
November 27, 2025 at 7:18 PM
Have to say, I think this is really disappointing and somewhat baffling.

Why row back on the right NOT to be UNFAIRLY dismissed?

I don’t know who’s advising the Labour leadership, but it’s going to cost them the next election if they don’t sort their shit out.

Pleased to report that, after we intimated we would sue it, Ofcom has changed course and will look again at whether TalkTV is complying with the Broadcasting Code.

We are also now starting to look with our lawyers at the BBC's whitewashing of trans existence. goodlaw.social/vfq2

We said we’d sue over Ofcom’s decision to dismiss 22,000 complaints about transphobia on TalkTV – now the regulator has caved.

Can I just point out that the shingles vaccine hurts like no other vaccine I have ever had.

Can I also point out that doing a workout after having the vaccination was an error of judgement.

Owwwch!!

In addition to some pretty flaky budget critique from Peston tonight, he takes the chance to question Tice about the huge controversies surrounding Farage & Reform.

Approximately 1.5 mins of polite questions followed by “we’re out out time - delightful to see you”.

What the actual…..?

Possibly the best point you’ll read related to the Budget.
On Truss & Kwarteng in ‘22. Allister Heath, Telegraph: “the best budget I have ever heard a British chancellor deliver". Alex Brummer, Mail: “a genuine Tory package elbowing to one side the Treasury's fiscal conservatism".
These men will now be paid actual money for their analysis of today’s budget.

Slightly baffled at Peston tonight.

Three guests are card-carrying right wing, and the representative of the left is a guy who was part of Labour’s previous failures and is anti the current leadership.

The Budget might not have been very creative, but neither is it as bad as its being painted.

This is exactly what the recent Trump-BBC 'scandal' was designed to achieve. The BBC is now self-censoring criticisms of Trump in the name of "impartiality"
I wish I didn’t have to share this. But the BBC has decided to censor my first Reith Lecture.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1

Perfectly accurate, interesting, and shows how the current uber-focus on immigration (to the exclusion of all else) is bonkers!
This is how your £100 Income Tax was spent...

£22 → NHS
£6 → Defence
£10 → Education
£10 → Debt interest
£11.40 → State pensions
£4.15 → Working-age welfare (PIP, Universal Credit, health support, etc.)
£0.50 → Asylum system
£0.70 → Overseas aid

Yeah! Hate spending that £1.20!

So Laura Kuenssberg did an hour long programme yesterday and did not mention once, the party leading the polls being implicated in Russian money?

Lisa Nandy, you have a golden opportunity to move Robbie Gibb on and really move the BBC back to real impartiality.
