Many of us have been lucky enough to love 💕 and eventually mourn 😰 a pet who was, for us, “the best dog (or cat or [fill in] ) ever.” This is an obit we can all have tried to write ✍️ ourselves . . .

I'm genuinely sorry that Fetterman had a stroke and suffers from depression. But arguing that he has a free pass not to do his job in the name of destigmatizing brain injury and mental health struggles is offensive. If he can't do it, he should resign. If he doesn't want to, he should resign faster.
In which John Fetterman argues with inflamed self-righteousness that he's being bullied into doing parts of the job that he thinks are dumb. Like...showing up to vote. And serving on Senatorial committees. And meeting with constituents. www.nytimes.com/2025/05/24/u...

He’s threatening media companies who are critical of him.

He’s talking about sending Americans to foreign prisons.

He’s signing executive orders to investigate former staff members who spoke out against him.

He’s defying the Supreme Court.

Don’t you see what’s happening here?

The skeleton key to understanding reactionary conservatism is quite simple: they are scared, all the time, of everything.

Do not normalize children dying from measles. Measles was previously eliminated in the US, thanks to vaccines.

When children die from measles, it means that adults have catastrophically failed to protect them because they have rejected basic science.

You may be fearing your 401k is no longer enough for you to retire. But with all the cuts to NIH and Medicare you also won't live as long. So the policies are integrated.

Yes yes yes - exactly how I felt yesterday !
What I think was *really* beneficial about Hands Off is that people need to see (in real life) that they’re not alone.

In-person events and marches can really fill up people’s fighting tanks, so to speak. And this regime has handed us a really really long, tedious, and difficult fight.

Couldn’t be prouder to share a birthday with Tim Walz!!!
#ResistanceRoots

Tim Walz was born on this day in 1964 in West Point, Neb. Governor Walz believes in radical, woke things like feeding schoolchildren, ensuring tax fairness, developing infrastructure, requiring universal gun background checks and protecting women’s rights.

The White House Correspondents’ Association said it fired host Amber Ruffin so it can instead focus the dinner on celebrating the First Amendment.

Which apparently can be done best by preventing a gay black woman from speaking.
