I wrote a 15 page report on heraldic symbolism in medieval armor and weapon design for my art history class the night before it was due (8am class). Made up 90% of it (only found one book for reference) and got an A. GenAI could fucking never.

I worked to make sure Sasha wouldn't get too stressed or scared when I put her new collar (now with tag!) on

She wiggled a little because it took a bit to make sure her fur wasn't caught in the clip, but didn't try to get away

She seems SO HAPPY to have it back on and is unbothered by the tag 😻

Was asked to find out why a piece of a report isn't working. Looking at this query is like going from taking a Spanish class and being able to read a newspaper and then opening an academic article or other specialist text

I think everyone has been assuming the hole is in my technical skills (since I'm learning them on the job) but it's actually my inability to ask for help in such a way that help actually arrives 🫠 (knowing who to ask where to find things, because why have documentation when we can be inefficient?)

After a solid year of backfilling my old job we're almost at the point I can transition back to my actual job, which, yay! Except for this one giant hole in my skillset that I keep falling into and only escaping from because backfilling old job has taken 95+% of my time

(The report is a hot fucking mess, and I stopped developing it because I was told its composition was being reassessed and we'd revisit in Q1. So the request fully derailed my day but after spinning out I figured out how to tell my boss what support I need to make it work I HOPE 🤞🤞🤞)
