Tonight, in Chicago, North Side rapid responders and community members held a vigil. At least ten people were abducted by ICE in Rogers Park alone today. We uplifted the message RESIST ICE in lights. We spoke out, sang together, grieved, and reaffirmed our commitment to defending our neighbors.

Your state troopers participated in Friday's fascist photo op attack at Broadview. Get the false charges against protesters dropped immediately!
Illinois is not a photo opportunity or warzone, it’s a sovereign state where our people deserve rights, respect, and answers.

All charges brought against protesters at Broadview today must be dropped. When cops and agents attack crowds without provocation, they make shit up to justify their attacks (in his case, an attack waged on a cooperative crowd to produce fascist social media content). These charges must be dropped.

BREAKING: Our client Mario Guevara, an Emmy-winning journalist detained by ICE in retaliation for livestreaming law enforcement activity, will be deported tomorrow to El Salvador.

Mario and his family are being punished for his reporting. This cruelty is meant to stifle our free press.

I'm not asking people to stop talking about Kimmel or the coming repression tied to their latest martyr project—all of this is important. I am just saying, can we work in more discussion of our neighbors being hunted and protesters being gassed, beaten, and shot with pepper balls in Chicagoland?

Legacy media and cable news reduced Trump's aggression against Chicago to a question of whether troops would be sent immediately. When he said he was taking his fascist military spectacle elsewhere, those media players declared the situation over—while waves of federal agents attack our neighbors.

Someone asked me what victory against the forces seeking to occupy Chicago looks like. Obviously, those forces being repelled is the goal, but there are layers to what success looks like in these deteriorating conditions. The first is to successfully resist the normalization of military occupation.

Google is also trying to lock in schools to a particular set of ideas that it claims to be based on "learning science" with its new LearnLM/Guided learning bot. It's a *theory lock-in* to a very attenuated version of learning theory. blog.google/outreach-ini...

Who is doing counter-recruitment organizing for ICE? As the economy worsens, those jobs and the loan forgiveness offer will become more attractive to unpoliticized individuals. There needs to be a clear social cost for even considering joining those ranks.
