That’d probably be due to the wee operational meltdown at JFK, with a bunch of arrivals seeing wait times for a gate 3x longer than the flight itself.

Took the R train all the way to Queens to get the farewell MetroCard sandwich at Alidoro.
Naturally, they don’t have the ingredients to make it. Just like last time MTA did a special menu with them. Maybe Alidoro is just trying to mimic MTA’s weekend service changes? Ugh.

I’ve never really thought about it before, but is NYC unique in the US in that it has 0 sections of subway that run alongside or down the middle of a highway?
It is so satisfying to be on @wmata.com outpacing cars on the open highway even before we get to the congested DC core where it’s no completion.

SPI, a big maker of IFE systems, sold to private equity. Private equity is always out to extract as much value as possible as quickly as possible. Can't wait for them to stop making spare parts available and screens on aircraft to go dark because it's not profitable to maintain old systems anymore.
Safran will sell its Safran Passenger Innovations (SPI) unit to Kingswood Capital Management, part of its continued efforts to divest "non-core" operations.
