Just realized I never properly re-introduced myself. Hi, I’m Jason, aka @airlineflyer. I post about airplanes, airports, trains, public transit and travel. I co-host @flightradar24.com’s AvTalk podcast with @petchmo.bsky.social.

Looking forward to reconnecting with familiar names meeting new ones.
Ya know, I just don’t think this ad that eventually redirects to United.com is an official ad.

There’s a 100% chance that this ad (spotted on @cnet.com seemingly served by the @microsoft.com Bing ad network) is going to steal your account credentials and MileagePlus balance.

This is it. The definitive telling how to update the LED signs on @mta.info L trains was rediscovered and lost to time once again in 2020.

These kids were so loud that I heard them a quarter mile away through my closed, sound dampened windows.

These kids rock.
The voices of hundreds of teenagers chanting "Melt the ICE!" rang out from the snowy summit of Fort Greene Park Friday, as more than 500 Brooklyn Technical High School students went on strike from school in protest of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement violence.

Elon Musk owns a website that generates child porn and was an eager associate of Jeffrey Epstein long after it was known Epstein trafficked children for sex.

How is anyone continuing to be associated with any of his projects companies or operations

NYC definitely making progress digging out pedestrian access between early in the week and now, though bus stops and CitiBike stations are untouched around here.

Lufthansa has announced plans to retrofit new business class seats on its eight A380s, but "Allegris" isn't mentioned once in the release.

That's because the A380 isn't getting Allegris, but instead will have off-the-shelf seats from Thompson with "existing certification" installed. Whoops.

Is free buses the best use of $1 billion a year? No.

But it's not as if these subway expansion projects aren't happening but for the free bus fares. They're just not happening.
Is Mayor Mamdani’s free bus plan the best use of $1 billion a year? One transit think tank has an alternative (and very ambitious) proposal: expand the subway! Agree or disagree, it’s nice to dream - take a look at the new lines they would build

I wonder what Verizon’s 616,000 boost drops to if you subtract the free lines it was giving away in December?

Good morning to everyone, but especially to the “decertified” Canadian aircraft that are very much still flying.

United was supposed to replace its 757s with lay flat seats with the 737 MAX 10.

Is it now planning on using some A321XLR for transcon flights instead? The weird new "Coastliner" name would suggest that.

Entirely unsurprising, but UPS has permanently ended its MD-11 operations. I'd have to imagine FedEx will follow suit.

That just leaves Western Global, but who the hell knows what its going to do.
