I know we notice things more if we’re primed to notice them (like if you own a red car you feel like everyone has red cars etc) but the dissonance between seeing people realize we only have so much helium and more shops going “we have helium balloons!!!” is really fucking with me.

People who may want to have children in the future should bear this in mind: tear gas can have serious consequences for female reproductive health. The data on this isn't great but I would at least recommend ensuring you have a quality respirator or mask on at all times.

This is super easy to do, tho be prepared for a call from your health department to ask why you were checking your chicken pox titers. They used to call, at least.
If you're an adult who was vaccinated, you should get your titers run to make sure you still have immunity. Vaccination can wane and/or you may not have generated a strong immune response. That was ok when we had herd immunity but we're likely about to lose our "measles free" status.
Vaccinate your kids, you friggin nuts.

After executing Alex Pretti on Saturday, ICE has shifted to primarily targeting bus stops and elementary schools in my community this week. I cannot overstate how much of the ICE activity in my community is just targeting places where little kids are.
Video from this morning shows ICE agents deploying tear gas outside a Minneapolis preschool as parents shout, “This is a preschool! There’s kids here!”
