kind of funny that an olympian said they are here to represent "compassion, respect, and love for others" and some people automatically knew that was a statement against them

Good morning.

I wish our politicians would read more.

Perhaps if they did, they'd have more empathy and emotional intelligence.

Just sent Keir Starmer a copy of

Leonard and Hungry Paul by Rónán Hession.

Peter Mandelson may wish to note the above.

The killing of Alex Pretti is a heartbreaking tragedy. It should also be a wake-up call to every American, regardless of party, that many of our core values as a nation are increasingly under assault.

Fairly sure it’s unintentional, but the end date on this mug being sold by the Smithsonian does make it sound a little like they’re saying America dies in 2026…

Remember: Almost all of us are the descendants of immigrants who fled persecution, or were brought to America under duress, or sought better lives for themselves and their descendants.

Politicians who stoke fear and hatred over immigration want you to forget this.

Do not.

Congratulations to all the Democratic candidates who won tonight. It’s a reminder that when we come together around strong, forward-looking leaders who care about the issues that matter, we can win. We’ve still got plenty of work to do, but the future looks a little bit brighter.

In an ideal world, our ballot wouldn’t contain a measure like Proposition 50. We would have a political system built on true proportional representation, where the maps are drawn by and for the people...

Robert Redford (1936-2025) should be remembered as much for his social conscience as for his talents as a storyteller.

This 1976 interview about ALL THE PRESIDENT’S MEN is a sobering reminder of what we’ve lost. #RobertRedford #FilmSky

My dad told me a story about having a drink with Mr Lovell at some local dive bar when this sequence was being filmed for The Man who Fell to Earth back in the 1970's.
My dad said Mr. Lovell had a lot to say about space and what he saw there...
I'll leave it at that.
Rest in peace, spaceman.
