"Some of the items with the worst price hikes are repeat offenders: coffee, beef and chocolate. They, too, were affected by tariffs — such as beef and coffee coming from Brazil — but the main culprit was the weather."

How have prices changed in a year? NPR checked 114 items at Walmart
We found the effects of tariffs and extreme weather, relief (finally!) in the egg cooler, plus one case of shrinkflation.

My daily walk in #Asheville is down Beaucatcher Mountain to Helen's Bridge. I'm more concerned about lookie-loos leaving trash behind and spraying graffiti on the bridge.

If Helen goes after them, I'm happy.

There were MANY things I didn't care for in this movie, and the brief mention of this character being a vampire was among them.

What I hated the most? The fact the lead character is a deeply unsympathetic ass who ruins pretty much everything he touches. (Runner up: WAY too long running time.)
Josh Safdie says the original draft of ‘Marty Supreme’ ended with Kevin O’Leary’s character being revealed as a vampire 🧛‍♂️

A24 thought Safdie was trolling them when they read the script

Is reality finally sinking in?

I'm sure the next shiny tech boondoggle isn't far behind.
The latest Duke CFO survey shows that the vast majority of CFOs are seeing no impact from AI on labor productivity, decision-making speed, customer satisfaction, or time spent on high-value-added tasks

Just went through a closet and donated a ton of stuff to a #ThriftStore.

Among the relics I pulled out was the box for an 8-track tape storage system. I had been storing Christmas ornaments in it since the late #1970s.

Note the classy wood-grain finish.

Having DARK SHADOWS back on broadcast TV for its 60th anniversary is great news.

And pairing it w/ TWIN PEAKS — which precedes it on MeTV+ from 9-11pm ET — is genius.

But I do hope they do start w/ the later episodes, when the show was firing on all creative cylinders. #DarkShadows #ClassicTV
