The gun was removed by agents from his waistband - he was never pointing it at them. He was already disarmed when they fired "defensive shots," killing the man. They then fired several shots at his lifeless body.

Federal law enforcement agents shot and killed a man in Minneapolis on Jan. 24 according to local police officials. DHS told Fox News that the man was “armed with a gun”. A video of the shooting appears to show that a gun was taken from the man before the first shot was fired. x.com/BillMelugin_...

Absolute hilarity (and terror), a thread.

Yesterday I remarked about the release of a voice cloning/speech synthesis tool, and how it will give rise to a host of fraud.

Well, today I realized we are even closer than I realized when I got a robocall...

/7 Dave Barry says “a person who is nice to you, but rude to the waiter, is not a nice person.”. It’s one of my favorite moral compass sayings. Marc’s would be “if a person is nice to me, it’s hilarious when they are rude to the waiter.”

Here's a rundown of what I know (or seen evidence of) to be in Greenland:

Denmark has 300 (visually confirmed) to 500+ troops including many from Jaeger Corps – one of the top arctic warfare special ops groups in the world, led by the commander of the Danish Army, Maj. Gen. Peter H. Boysen.

2026 is seeing that the U.S. Army is mobilizing a unit specialized for winter conditions, but not knowing if the intended mission is violent repression of an American city or stealing territory from a U.S. treaty ally.

Brief operational term of art 🧵 to help better define what we're experiencing. What we're experiencing is state terror. I've seen a lot of terms thrown around for what the Trump admin is doing w/ICE, CBP, & other federal law enforcement (LE). The now largely out of use term is state terror. 1/

The X Terms of Service are amazing in many regards, but the choice of law and choice of forum parts (in Section 6) are a real standout. They apply to everything, including patent disputes, apply to pending and future disputes without regard to when the conduct occurred (or will occur)...
Conservative influencer Ashley St Clair had a baby with Elon Musk in 2024. Things turned sour when she expressed mild support of trans rights. Elon cut child support and sued for custody; his followers made deepfake porn of her on X; she sued X; now X is suing HER!

But this isn’t just a soap opera:

This is a transparent attempt to create a pretext for invoking the Insurrection Act.

This was caused by flawed implementations of Google's Fast Pair one-tap Bluetooth protocol. But it doesn't just affect Android users. Anyone (yes, iPhone users) with audio accessories from Sony, Jabra, JBL, Marshall, Xiaomi, Nothing, OnePlus, Soundcore, Logitech, and Google itself may be vulnerable.
Hundreds of millions of earbuds, headphones and speakers need a security update (yes, you need to update your earbuds) to prevent a wireless hacking technique that can hijack audio, eavesdrop via mics, and in some cases remotely track the accessory’s location. www.wired.com/story/google...
