I Watched: Obchod na Korze (1965) ("The Shop on Main Street") Maybe the first "Holocaust comedy" I've ever seen that actually sort of works, about a bumbling drunk in a Slovakian village under Nazi occupation who is appointed "Aryan Supervisor" of a senile old Jewish woman's button shop. #Filmsky 📽️

I’ve had remarkable luck with Czech cinema from 1965-1970. THE CREMATOR, CLOSELY OBSERVED TRAINS, LOVES OF A BLONDE, THE SHOP ON MAIN STREET, WITCHHAMMER…not a bum flick in the bunch.

Decades Project Time! Now watching: THE SHOP ON MAIN STREET (Obchod na korze, 1965). Because sure, a classic movie about collaborating with Nazis is good timing.

Lullabies for Little Criminals by Heather O'Neill (Canadian poet)
At thirteen, Baby vacillates between childhood comforts and adult temptation: still young enough to drag her dolls around in a vinyl suitcase yet old enough to know more than she should about urban cruelties.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.

Swordplay was always a pretty big part of the Zelda franchise, so Nintendo figured, why not add a touch of realism with motion controls.

The Wii's motion controls were pretty notoriously imprecise though, so they released an accessory alongside it...
