it is really fucking insane that NATO went ahead and decided to more than double the military budget target from 2% of GDP in 2014 to 5% this year. Russia's is ~6-7% in the middle of a war and China's is under 2%
Every time you see that the government is trying to raise our military spending to 5% of GDP, think about the fact that our total elementary and secondary school spending is 3.9% of GDP.
