Out for a walk with the wee one, spotted this great hulking tree stump to climb on, noticed its clinging onto life with new sprouts at the base.
It was this Goliath of a Beech, not dead yet...

Language matters. Asylum seekers live in appalling conditions but the buildings are described as "hotels". Members of the Royal family live a life of luxury and privilege but their homes are often called "cottage" or "lodge". Why not just describe things accurately?

Highland beef from our local farmer went down very well in these layered tortilla skewers tonight. They're quite tricky to make, but it's a satisfying process and not a scrap was left. 😋
