Picture Day (solo parenting, day 5): 8yo has chosen a mismatched outfit (including two different socks) just to spite me. 6yo ASKED for a haircut last night and willingly sat for one. The shorter hair she woke up with is curly.

Same. I haven’t actually asked a whenever person about whether they distinguish between the two words (I’ve just been their intern supervisor or collaborator on events), so I’m interested to see if your students ever reply when you correct it in their writing!

This is a personal pet peeve of mine and I’ve been complaining about it ever since it started to infiltrate mass media (just heard it this morning on the Today show from a 19yo actress)(but also from students in NC for the last few years). I think it’s an age thing, not a region thing. 👎👎

I made a mini egg rug at a craft place that has TUFTING! 🍳

Tufting - early phase with just the egg white and yolks punched in.

Tufting - done with the pink background. This is the back side of the rug that you work from with the gun.

Tufting - final product all mounted and shaved to look good by the craft store people.
