None of us are safe in a world where basic norms in respect of the sanctity of human life are blithely disregarded. Those norms must be enforced, and enforced visibly. There must be political and legal consequences for every politician who made the genocide possible. The alternative is unthinkable.

The foreign secretary says the UK has been contributing to the peace process.

No. What the UK govt has been contributing to is the extermination of the Palestinian people.

If reports are to be believed, Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya is to remain in Israeli prison (without charges or trial) even after the exchange of hostages.

"The European Union remains Israel’s largest trading partner.

"The EU-Israel trade agreement should have been fully suspended long ago, yet von der Leyen has chosen complicity over intervention."

Peaceful assembly isn’t an insurrection.

Storming the Capitol to hang your own vice-president and end democracy is.

Thank you ever so much for your kind comment! I really appreciate it 🙏🏽. I agree, there are plenty of enablers in the corridors of power and not enough checks and balances! I think it’s pent up anger and a sense of powerlessness resurfacing!

Many displaced Gazans (90% of the population) "will find fields of rubble where their homes once stood."

No, almost all of them will find rubble. 92% of residential buildings have been destroyed, 88% of commercial buildings. 62% of people have lost their property documentation, back to the Nakba

Nonviolent protest is always more effective. Nonviolent protest can still lead to violent police actions—but those police will not have “I was just keeping the peace” to fall back on.

Be funny. Be satirical. Clowning is more powerful than you could ever imagine against authoritarianism.

NEW: Trump clinched a Gaza deal by breaking with 2 years of failed US war policy. It's likely doomed if he sustains patterns Biden began & he intensified:

-deferring to Netanyahu
-disregarding Palestinians
-dismissing domestic+global critics of US-Israeli choices

Trump’s Peace Deal Might Be Doomed From The Start
The chance of continued peace between Israel and Hamas depends on bigger and more complex decisions that there's no guarantee Donald Trump will pursue.

It is one of the main reasons why I became a therapist. It is why I will always be a supporter of the underdog!

There is no way on earth that this kind of abuse will ever be tolerated!

I have been called “Paki”; “Bhungi”; “Pak-man”; “Brownie”; told to go back from where I came from; spat on; yelled at; beaten up; excluded; mocked; belittled and ganged up on. It caused indescribable pain and scars that I still deal with everyday.

Shockingly, the school did not address or follow through on any of my parents concerns. I am feeling triggered and a sense of rage at the moment…it pains me to see the term “Paki” still being used and accepted…a racial slur to say the least!!!
