Over 40% of corn grown in Indiana is used to make ethanol that cars burn. One acre of corn yields about 16,500 vehicle-miles per year of ethanol, which sounds high until you realize that one acre of solar yields about 2,700,000 vehicle-miles per year: 16,000% more driving for a given plot of land.

Chicago's federal courthouse is already built like a fortress. It's been surrounded by this big fuck off metal fence since the start of September, & you can only get inside through security stations. US marshals inside as well.

Downtown has more media centered there and CTA train lines converge downtown. Suspect neighborhood protests would be largely overlooked by media and attract far fewer people because it's more of a hassle to get there.

That said, I'd rather attend a close protest in my area than go downtown!
