I honestly have no idea what point you’re trying to make, other than the blind defence of your club. All time-wasting is bad? Arteta has turned having a throw-in into an event that takes about five minutes. It’s not what I pay to go to football matches for.

Can see the Premier League introducing a rule sooner rather than later. Pretty disgusting how little football people see when they go to watch a game involving Arsenal. They’re very much playing to it though.

As is so often the case, Andrew nails it. In some ways, it’s a nice summary of the problem with refereeing in general. Be consistent within the same game, Taylor, and maybe I’d have some sympathy.

That’s a laugh. Nobody expects perfection.

The issue is that consistent, high quality performances feel beyond every ref in the Premier League these days. Deliver those and the odd howler would be far easier to let slide.

I think the issues around Wirtz are being massively blown out of proportion. I think the problems with our defence are being hugely played down. We’ve got structural issues this season, which I’m intrigued to see how the manager fixes.

Yeah, that’s all very fair. Still, Konaté’s head is in Madrid, so I’m not sure what we’re gaining by playing him. If only we hadn’t spent all summer just assuming we were going to sign a homophobe & had actually bought a defender…..

Bloody hell, do you want the moon on a stick as well?! I’m not much of a Gakpo fan this season, but we decided not to buy a left winger because of Ngumoha, so it’s play him there or a 17-year-old. Feels like it’s gonna take a while for Slot 2.0 to click.

On theirs. I’d argue it should’ve told the ref to look at ours, given the lad went down like he’d been shot. Generally though, I agree.

Oh totally, but it’s not as if Konaté isn’t just as prone to an injury, so we might as well play the lad who *hasn’t* been dogshit all season.

Totally agree with this. It wasn’t a penalty. That being said, theirs wasn’t either, so I’m not going to give the officials all of the praise.

If Slot is the quality of manager I think we all consider him to be, Konaté shouldn’t be anywhere near the starting XI for the Chelsea game. Hasn’t played well once yet.

As we saw last season, the result itself is unlikely to matter massively in the grand scheme of the Champions League. The performance, on the other hand, is REALLY worrying IMO. The same mistakes & errors we’ve been seeing all season, only this time no late rallying.
