Proposed restrictions on visas for reporters show the U.S. “becoming less open and welcoming to foreign journalists…It is antithetical to the core values of American society as embodied in the First Amendment.”

Proud to join @rsf.org and others in this statement.

The meeting of RFK Jr.’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) starts in less than 24 hours.

The materials still haven’t been posted, which is highly unusual.

They want to ambush the American public with false claims about COVID19 vaccines.

Kennedy asserted that “there are no cuts to Medicaid.” In fact, the Congressional Budget Office has estimated that Medicaid provisions would increase the number of people without health insurance by 7.8 million in 2034. www.nytimes.com/live/2025/09...

WARNER: Do you accept the fact that 1 million Americans died from covid?

RFK Jr: I don't know how many died

W: You're the secretary of health and human services. You don't have any idea how many Americans died from covid?

RFK Jr: I don't think anybody knows that

W: How can you be that ignorant?

Bennet runs out of patience with RFK Jr and yells at him that "I'm asking the questions on behalf of parents and schools and teachers all over the United States of America who deserve so much better than your leadership! That's what this conversation is about."

Kennedy says he does not know how many people died of Covid and whether the vaccines prevented Covid deaths. “The problem is they didn’t have the data,” he said.

In fact, the data are readily available.

He is intentionally avoiding a huge swath of his constituents because their county is democratic-leaning. Going to a town with 200 people, without also going to a town in the county that has 30k+ constituents, doesn’t deserve applause.

We don't have updated and detailed CBO scores and the final language for the just-passed Senate reconciliation bill isn't yet available. But the devastating impact will likely be about $1 trillion/10 years in #Medicaid cuts and about 17 million more uninsured.

Nearly 12 million people would lose their health insurance under President Trump's "big, beautiful bill," an erosion of the social safety net that would lead to more unmanaged chronic illnesses, higher medical debt and overcrowding of hospital emergency departments.
