I wonder if there was a bill that Congress voted on in 2021-2022 that would have banned gerrymandering in every state.

Or another one in 2019.

Or a landmark Supreme Court case seeking to end it in 2019.

Now to find out how every Republican voted on each of tho—oh, they were unanimously opposed

One of the Malheur Wildlife Refuge occupiers who was running for city office in a race I was covering called me an "insurrectionary journalist."
What is the best compliment you ever received? Putting aside whether or not you believed it.

I vote that the bill formally be titled "The Kevin Kiley Desperately Trying To Save His Political Career Act."

The history books won't be kind to the likes of Fani Willis or Merrick Garland. Assuming reading is allowed in the future.
DA Fani Willis had a once-in-a-lifetime case, the most important of her career: a chance to criminally prosecute a lying president who tried to intimidate people into overturning the 2020 election.

She screwed up.

And now her replacement has killed it.

So glad my local district attorney hosted and palled around with her. Makes me feel real inspired about the criminal justice system.

This week, we're thankful for the brave Starbucks workers striking for better wages. Until Starbucks comes to the table with a fair contract, remember: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS AT ANY STANDALONE LOCATION. (Starbucks locations at airports, grocery stores and hotels are not on strike) #NoContractNoCoffee

Ah, I see someone has exhumed the desiccated revenant named Carville, and used a hand bellows to force air into its lungs, so as to allow it to wheeze out miasmic utterances before being lowered once more into its crypt

A decent evaluation of the series, though I put Rogue One at No. 2 personally.
haven’t seen ROS or Solo but this seems like a pretty ball-knowing list from Pritzker, particularly if he volunteered the name “Star Wars” rather than “A New Hope”

Yes, let's reboot the racist buddy cop comedy starring China's Number One Propagandist and Guy Who Flew On Epstein's Jet.
A person directly familiar with the conversations tells Semafor that Donald Trump has personally pressed Larry Ellison to revive Brett Ratner's "Rush Hour" franchise.

Anyway, it's kind of insane that Carville's claim to fame was getting a candidate 43% in a presidential election (the lowest winning share of the popular vote since Woodrow Wilson) and we've had to hear from him non-stop for three+ decades.

And Carville had the audacity to invoke Mamdani's win to make his point? Mamdani didn't go "anti-woke" to win. Quite the opposite! www.readtpa.com/p/a-politici...
A Politician Actually Defended Trans People. It Shouldn't Be This Rare.
Many Democrats are treating trans people as politically toxic. NYC mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani released a two-minute video proving there's another way.

The thing about Carville's piece is that it's a perfect example of the way centrists can't write literally anything without getting in a few jabs at the left/minorities. It's entirely possible to run on "economic rage," sure. There's no need to go, "And remember what some people on Tumblr said??"

Absolutely galling.
It is unbelievable that the CSU would use public funds to increase the pay of their most highly compensated executives, who already make dozens of times more than their lowest-paid employees, while the regular working people who teach our students, keep our campuses running, and ensure (1/3)

NO. PARDONS.
And again (& again), this time many people are going to have to go to jail for many years, or it’s all going to happen again.
It’s crazy to think about the crimes we’re going to learn about after this regime ends.

We’re already hearing about Watergate level crimes every week. Imagine what will come out after it’s over.

We’re going to need a full accounting of all that’s been done in violation of the constitution.

Hey @sanluisobispo.com, there's a shiny nickel in it for you if you run this quote by Dan Dow and get his reaction.
Q: Stefanik has called Mamdani a 'jihadist.' Do you think you're standing next to a jihadist right now?

Remember when Republicans and corporate media lost their minds over Charlie Kirk's murder, which was allegedly done by Tyler Robinson, and somehow blamed "the left" for their rhetoric?

But Trump outright saying Democrats should be executed is fine.

Cool.
