🚨 BREAKING: Chancellor continues freeze on housing benefit – missing a crucial opportunity to prevent homelessness.

As rents continue to rise, this will directly lead to homelessness for many of us. #Budget2025

From April 2026 the National Living Wage will rise to £12.71 — but it’s just the minimum.

The real Living Wage is the only wage rate based on the actual cost of living.

Full-time workers earn:
🪙 £1,440 more on the real Living Wage
🪙 £4,070 more on the London Living Wage

Ending the two-child benefit cap in today's budget is huge, wonderful news for the 500,000 children lifted out of poverty and the 1 million who will face less deep poverty. But the other 4.1m children in poverty deserve the same. This was the right start: now do the rest.

Chancellor says their Universal Credit reforms will put 15,000 into work. She conveniently fails to mention that these cuts will put 100,000 into poverty #Budget2026

WE WON 💥 The two-child benefit limit is GONE! This will pull 470,000 children out of severe hardship by 2027.

This is a massive victory for families, campaigners, and every one of you that played your part urging the Chancellor to act.

The price of food alone is 35% higher than just five years ago. And as temperatures drop, the coming months will be harsher than ever for people already living on the sharpest edge.

This winter, thousands of people will walk through the doors of a food bank for the very first time.

I know Londoners are keen to help.

If you see someone sleeping on the streets, alert StreetLink to connect them to local services: thestreetlink.org.uk

You can also support London homelessness charities by donating to TAP London: www.taplondon.org

With temperatures dropping below zero, we’ve activated the Severe Weather Emergency Protocol for the first time this winter to ensure anyone sleeping rough in freezing conditions is offered emergency accommodation and support to stay off the streets for good.

This is the kind of hope that normal hard working people realise that socialism is there for them and their future. @zackpolanski.bsky.social and the @greenparty.org.uk are our hope here in the UK where a fresh new kind of socialism will sweep the country and for the better. Time is on our side.
Zohran's campaign was his determination to make New York a city everyone can afford to live in. Huge congratulations!

His success will resonate throughout the world. A story where no one is left behind.

It's time to write that story across England & Wales too.
