Every day's much the same to be honest.

Thanks man! I hope you feel better too.

Good tip, thanks Ben. I wasn't aware of this.

"Impaired cranial venous outflow" is another possibility, and a slightly scary one. When I push my jaw forward, the tinnitus becomes a much louder high-pitched whine, which makes me wonder about these veins that run past the jawbone.

Thanks! Yeah, but the blood tests showed nothing abnormal. Doc looked at me like I was making it all up. Ugh.

Apparently "Long Covid" might (?) be causing my symptoms, which resemble what novelist Madeline Miller describes here, especially her struggle to write:

Madeline Miller: "Worst of all, I couldn’t concentrate enough to compose sentences. Writing had been my haven since I was 6. Now, it was my family’s livelihood. I kept looking through my pre-covid novel drafts, desperately trying to prod my sticky, limp brain forward. But I was too tired to answer email, let alone grapple with my book."

The worst part of it is the "executive dysfunction" — which is playing havoc with my writing.

I've always been forgetful and absent-minded (due to ADHD), but over the past few years the ED has got exponentially worse, and ADHD meds aren't helping.

Constant brain fog, pressure headache, tinnitus, light sensitivity, fatigue. It feels like having permanent jet-lag, or a hangover without the drink. And my GP just shrugs like, what do you want me to do about it?
andydiggle.bsky.social
Fatigue latest:

I just slept for 11 hours straight; woken up by my alarm at 9am; had coffee and breakfast while I scrolled Bluesky for a bit; then fell asleep for another 2 hours!

Regardless of whether I get too much sleep, too little, or just the right amount, I still feel like shit.

Ugh.

Vertigo is back, and Jim Lee has promised that DC Comics won't use any AI art or storytelling. Excellent!

Just announced at NYCC! A new Vertigo series from Grace and I about fandom, obsession... and parasocial chaos :)
the cover for Fanatic, a new series from DC vertigo by Hannah Templer and Grace Ellis. The cover depicts a woman cast half in shadow, looking back over her shoulder in a look of surprise as she is caught holding a shovel and wearing a tattered costume in a wooded area. The colors are in two tones of blue and red

Thanks! Yeah, I chose the bar name as a Spider Robinson hat-tip. Wes *really* wanted to call the place "Diggles" but I managed to talk him out of it. 😬
