I think I've said this before but I will again.

The very act of reading is political. If you are one of these people who do not believe politics belong in books do *not* follow me and if you already do now is the time to *unfollow* me.

If I can't live in Scotland I can at least add this to my bucket list and run a bookshop while visiting one day.

A good measure of how crazy things have gotten is if you pretend we’re in a Star Wars movie and then imagine how long the opening crawl would have to be for an audience of people from 4 weeks ago to be caught up

The world is in utter chaos and I live a very peaceful existence with no drama in my personal life, a great kid, cute dog and a career. If you aren't seeing the world as chaos right now let me know what you're taking.

After LOTR was published, Tolkien got mail from angry readers who didn't like that he let Frodo fail at the end. Tolkien replied that it was impossible not to fail. No mortal can withstand the devil. Frodo did what he needed to get the Ring to a place where fate/grace could allow it to be destroyed.

So this happened today in Arizona.

My guess, considering how red this state is someone ignorant put in a complaint.

As an aside Zipps has great wings.
ICE has shown up in Arizona and they are serving (no pun intended) Federal Search Warrants at about 15 Zipps Sports Grill locations around the ValIey. I guess they need to get those murderer dish washer staff outta the country! 🙄

The world is on fire, sure. And the monsters are dancing in the flames.

But monsters have always been held at bay by people who simply refuse to be like them.

And it turns out that things like kindness and decency are extraordinarily fire-resistant.

But does he understand 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦? 🤔
